Shopping, fun and enjoying art in Nunspeet
Nunspeet is the largest village centre in the municipality of Nunspeet. Here you will find the largest range of shops in the cosy streets around the Market. There is a market every Thursday morning and the larger retail chains are also well represented. At the many catering establishments you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or a tasty lunch inside or outside on the terrace. But there is so much more to do! Below you will find a number of highlights.

Art and Culture
If you are in Nunspeet, a visit to the Noord-Veluws Museum is a must. Here you will find the works of artists who lived in Nunspeet between 1890 and 1950 and who attracted national and international attention.
Are you looking for a work of art for your home? Then visit the ‘Kunstmarkt Nunspeet’ and meet many artists from Nunspeet and the rest of the country. You will find paintings, ceramics, jewelry, glass and graphic work.
Cultural activities
The former Veluvine paint factories are now home to the Veluvine cultural centre in Nunspeet. Today, it is bustling with cultural activities. With a well-filled calendar full of cabaret, music, dance, film and theatre, young and old can watch many special performances.
Eibertjesdag is an annual fair with around 200 stalls in Nunspeet on the Friday after Ascension Day. The origin of this annual fair lies with ‘Eibertje’. It is a party all day long and there are demonstrations of old crafts. Special attention is paid to traditional costumes. For lovers of folklore, Eibertjesdag is an absolute must.

Experience nature
The transferium with the Nunspeet Visitor Centre is a good starting point for a day out in Nunspeet. Located near the motorway, you will find ample parking facilities and the visitor centre. The exhibitions give you an idea of the diversity of the Veluwe nature that you can explore directly from the transferium itself. Various walking routes and cycle routes start there. Are you not very mobile? Then you can explore nature from a wheelchair path. You can also use the tourist train, which has a stop here. There is also plenty to do for children at the transferium.
Visiting gardens
In Nunspeet you will find the Bee Nature Garden. In this freely accessible garden you can see the interaction between flowers and bees. For years, the Kijktuinen attracted many garden lovers. Unfortunately, the gate has been permanently closed since autumn 2018. However, there are still many opportunities to visit gardens in the area: see our special page about gardens!

Exciting history
Have you ever heard rumors about the Ronde Huis? The discussion about the truth of the stories is still going on, but has already provided food for two exciting books about the time that Engineer Frank van Vloten lived there. In 1907 he had a house built in Nunspeet in the form of a Spanish ‘rotunda’. Even though the Ronde Huis is no longer there, the beautiful garden with fens and rhododendrons is still worth a visit.
